I noticed that the Read Me section (accessed from the Yellow ?) for each type of return is for the 2021 tax year, not 2022. What is up with that?
Either I have a glitch in my software or ProSeries is not very good at checking what they are doing.
Many more updates to the 2022 program before it will be complete.
I agree there will be updates. My question is why can't they at least make the read me file read as 2022 with 2022 updates as they occur and not 2021 updates? I'm interested in seeing what is being updated for 2022 as they roll out.
I guess my real complaint is that it seems ProSeries has really gotten to where they don't check what they are doing anymore.
Im guessing theyre more focused on forms and tax calculations, than ReadMe content.

I agree. If they can't even get something as simple and basic like the correct year, why would we have any confidence with anything more complicated, like the calculations and forms?
There is a simple explanation for this kind of stuff. They hurry up and rush the program out in November so everybody can start beta testing the product. This cuts down on the amount of time and money Intuit would otherwise pay staff to make sure the product is up to snuff. Remember, it's all about making shareholders happy rather than making its tax professional customers happy.
Um. I hope this doesn't count against me in my auditioning for a part of the Intuit Champions program. I would go back and edit my post, but I don't see the little edit button that used to be here. Anyway, I just hope everybody here can keep a secret and not let Intuit know that I uttered a discouraging word. 😰
Yupp. I ussualy post, and as I hit repli I wud cach my speling misteaks. Thenn I wood imediatly hit eddit to ficx my scru upps. Now I hav to caerfuly pruf beefor I hit that butten. ☹️
@msmith7305 Thank you for sharing. We're looking into the ReadMe section.
@IRonMaN Your secret is safe with me. We're looking into the edit feature making another dramatic exit from our drop downs. Thanks all!
@IntuitGabi - You currently have 6 items in the drop down menu. I have only used one of those 6 and I used it very rarely (report inappropriate content). I did use the edit function quite frequently though since I have a nasty tendency to hit reply and catch typos right after I hit the reply button. Getting rid of the edit button isn't all bad since some folks did have a nasty habit of posting and then would hit edit and completely change their post so folks showing up later would have no idea what was going on in the thread. But it would be nice if the edit button could exist for a few minutes after a post just to give a chance to correct the "oops" that I am guilty of doing from time to time. The anvils sometimes have a delayed effect on my ability to proof read my own writing 😯
