Level 2

US resident client has dual UK and US citizenship. He traveled to UK in the summer for 2 months and worked for a company where he was paid wages of 9,000 GBP, equal to about $12,000. How does he include this foreign earned income on his US tax return?

You use the wages, salaries, and tips worksheet line 4. Be sure to review the Foreign earned income exclusion to see if your client qualifies.

There is no way he's going to qualify for foreign earned income exclusion.  But check foreign tax credit.
