Tax Import from Financial Institutions

Here is the recent message.  Also, if you could inquire on the tax import if the Non-Paid Preparer box is checked and preparer code of “xnp” is entered.  Are we not able to use Import from a Financial Institution Download in the case of a non-paid preparer?  Thanks.

Can you assign a preparer code to the return for the import, then remove it later?
