I have a sale of raw land. It is not an income producing property. I want to report it on Form 8949, but the Pro Series dropdown for Forms does not allow access to it. I can report directly on Schedule D, but prefer Form 8949. How can I get a form 8949 in Pro Series to complete? The program has form 8949 because it gets filled in automatically when a rental property is sold. I am filing a partnership return.
8949? Why? It is just a line item that goes to Schedule D! Why? It's a waste of pixels! REALLY? Why 8949?
"It is not an income producing property." Is it an investment property? Why does the partnership hold it if there is not intent of producing income, even if by sale?
Should it possible go on 4797?
Oh, so many questions. So few correct answers.
Okay, I am going back to finish my siesta now.
