I don't use ProSeries, so I can not verify.

Conceptually, I have trouble with a Corporation doing it's own return. You are not the Corporation. You are likely an employee of the Corporation and are being paid, in part, for doing the tax return.

This solution does not work anymore. Someone has moved the link.

I tried to do this on my own 1120 tax return. I read the help links and finally called for Support. Guess what? They couldn't help me either. Finally after trying all kinds of things and working together on this, we found what to do.

I had to enter "XSP" in a field SOMEWHERE in either the worksheet entries or the return itself. None of the help messages told me where. The previous comments will send you to Tools, then Options but this does not work.

For the 2019 returns, you have to go to the actual form itself and scroll to the section asking for the preparer name/number. In the field for the preparer number, enter either XSP (self prepared) or XNP (non-paid preparer). Then go to the next field. An error message will pop up, but say <OK> and move on past it. After that, the preparer info will disappear and a message (such as "self prepared") will show. You then enter your name and signature and date.

I hope that this helps someone else out and saves them hours on the phone with Support.
