I got a reject that says "Submission must not be a duplicate of a previously accepted submission." but we have not submitted another return for this client. When a return has been previously submitted to the IRS, I remember the message reading differently. Could this new message mean that someone filed another return using the same SSN at another office that also uses ProSeries?
That means someone using an Intuit product (even Turbotax) already filed a return in that SSN.
This usually happens when the client claims a dependent who has already file a return. Is it possible this is the case with your client?
