I Efiled for a client 8 weeks ago. He has direct deposit and two W2s. That is it.
He has not received his refund although he received his state refund weeks ago.
When I go the IRS site and look for "where's my refund?" all it says is "Processing".
Every past year, there has never been an issue.
What next?

Every past year there may not have been an issue with identity theft. it's like saying you drove down that street many times and there has never been a problem with a car pulling out in front of you and causing an accident until now.
Literally millions of other taxpayers are in a similar predicament.
