It looks like some of the forms are not final until 2/17, so it might not let you print until then.

That is insane.  It would be, basically, a third the way time-wise thru tax season w/o any hard copy?

First item on the to do list this May is research for new software for 2022 tax year.  It has been almost 30 years of abuse from Intuit, I don't know why I have put up with it so long.

Anyone with a work-around - besides screenshot in print preview, then crop & printing each page - would become the instant hero of this Community.

Yep, I agree with all of that.

There is a way to print blank tax forms. Maybe you can do this and then just enter the data manually on to the Form. I know it is a lot of extra work but what else can you do.... just my opinion

Thanks, but that is not really a work around; I can print blank forms from NJ Division of Taxation and go back to doing returns by hand.  I don't pay Intuit THOUSANDS of dollars a year to do returns by hand and I NEVER gave them permission to prevent ME from printing something on my screen.  They can fee free to force a watermark on the form, warning that it is not finalized, but they have no right in disabling me to print what I please.

Every year Intuit seems to pick one state to make its customers miserable by delivering its products late.  This year it appears that instead of one state, they took one letter (kinda like a Sesame Street episode) and chose the letter N.  Folks in NC have a similar start date.  The funny thing about is, Intuit sells tax products which you would think would make them a little more aware of deadlines.  As tax preparers, we tend not to go home at night until the work is done.  Evidently at Intuit, they have more of a "well I didn't finish that today, so that will give me something to do tomorrow" type of attitude.

Missouri is similar.  Most forms are final, except for the 1040-V, the voucher to submit if you owe tax.  If a client owes, we can't print any of the Missouri Forms.  Ugh!!!  Proposed final date is 2/10.

It took them until 1/26 to finally fix they nj 1040, including the child and dependent care expenses worksheet.

At that point, it still said that forms will be final on 1/27 and efile ready.

Now its a day later, and there if no notice on top of proseries when it will be ready, and it won't print NJ.

Its very embarrassing when you tell a client to come in, so you can give her a filing copy to mail in to NJ, since she can't efile, yet it won't print when you try printing.

But, we ARE able to e-file NJ now.  Have been since Thursday. Just can't print.

That's even more ridiculous on proseries part.

If it's ready to be efiled, then it means its ready. Then surely, we should be able to print out a client copy, (or a filing copy, for a client that is not eligible for efiling.)

I E-Filed two NJ returns  but neither of them show up on the NJ Refund Website.  Have talked to five different Proseries Specialists; get different answers but no results.  Haven't E-filed any other NJ Returns but all Federal Returns go through without any problems.  There are concerns to be aware of.
