Trying to file extensions for myself & keep getting an error 1040 YCI EFIN not correct but it is. Does anyone know how to correct?

YCI would typically reference New York City individual as an abbreviation. 

Unless you have a NYC-1127 or 202 form I would start with making sure New York City isn't marked for e-file in the return.
