I have scholarship income.  Program won't let me change amount that has not been counted on a W2  I want it on a W2 or at least line 7.  I cannot get this program to do it.

If its on the 1098T in Box 5, it should flow to Line 7 automatically.

Look at the Student Information Worksheet, Part V.  Line 9 should flow to the 1040 Wages line.

Be careful, understand who the taxable scholarship is taxable to.  There are issues with parents and children related to this, and then because it goes to the Wages line ProSeries thinks it earned income, whereas it is not for the Kiddie Tax.

Go to the 1040 worksheet line 1. Click on the dots to left of the 1. a box with magnifying glass will pop up. Click on the mag glass, then scroll down to line 13, and you can enter taxable scholarship There. This is how you can manually enter items on line 1 not on a W2, but if you fill out the student worksheets carefully The program should put it there for you automatically
