Can a client who is semi-retired make a contribution to his IRA account, employer does not have pension plan, and deduct the IRA contribution in 2022, if the client is required to make an RMD (12K) from the same IRA in 2022. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it

Thanks IronMan. That's what I thought. Client said he asked his broker and didn't get an adequate answer, so I thought maybe there's something for 2022.
