Not sure how the preparer code in PS would create a CA reject. I did see someone a few months ago that got a reject for an invalid PTIN on the CA EITC form....suggested they call into the FTB preparer hotline for this, but they never came back for the resolution.
Whats the exact rejection explanation? Highlight the file in the EFCenter, hit F12 and then click Rejected Returns to see the full explanation.
