I HAVE A CLIENT WITH AN LLC THAT OPT TO BE AN S CORP.
HOW DO I FILE THE TAXES FOR IT? ESPECIALLY THE STATE IS NOT ALLOWING TO ENTER AN LLC CA CORP NUMBER CAUSE ITS MORE NUMBERS FOR THE LLC THAN THE S CORP?
THANK YOU
Do you have a copy of the s-corp acceptance letter from the IRS? If yes, you need to file an 1120-S and I don't do any CA corp returns so I will ask someone else to answer that. But I assume it is like NY and you get to the state through the federal 1120-s.
You're completing an 1120S and the CA 100S? You may need to go to the CA Secretary of State website and look up the business to find the correct Corp number to use, assuming they've updated their info with the SOS.
