Help from Intit

A few of us have had complaints about the service answers we have received from intuit this tax season. Do you suppoe the reason for this is because like so many other business this year they are understaff and those who are trying to do the job of the people who left are trying their best to do a good job but it has come on them so quick that they don't really know what they are doing?

Intuit has always had some good support people and some bad support people.  When you call, you have to hope that you get one of the good ones, but chances are you are going to end up with a bad one.  If the bad ones are bad because they are really new or their training was just really bad, only Intuit can answer that one.

Intuit has been lauded in the business press in the past for their utilization of Peer Users as Customer Service. The direct support people we've seen on the forums over the years seem to come and go quickly. I have and do participate in other Intuit forums and have even had their exes communicate with me directly. There is no institutional memory into product support that is customer-facing. The people that do interact with end users can be pretty amazing, but that doesn't make it all that effective.
