Not sure what you are asking, but the 8606 is for nondeductible IRA, and each spouse fills out their own.

no. Is  the inherited ira balance, with no basis, added to all other IRAs, on line 6, form 8606?

Both the  distributions, are included on the 8606 (from the 1099 input) with the traditional ira

distribution amount, on line 7, form 8606

the inherited ira distribution, with no basis, is in addition to,

the traditional ira with basis. Both distributions flow through to the, 8606

should the inherited ira balance be added to the traditional ira balance,

for line 6, of the 8606?

Do both Ira's belong to a surviving spouse that took a distribution from each one, and are both in name of surviving spouse

yes. 1 is inherited IRA from spouse and 1 is this own IRA w/basis

Does the inherited IRA have basis or not? You have given conflicting information.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

no basis on the inherited IRA.

only basis on the other regular traditional IRA, which is taxpayer.

The inherited IRA is coming from deceased spouse.

But, Intuit proseries, thinks also, they both get included together,

think that this inherited IRA, gets included with all IRAs

The distribution from the inherited IRA should not be included on the 8606, nor should its 12/31/19 FMV.

In Screen 13.1, scroll down to the 8606 and check the Treat as Inherited box. See if that fixes it. Oops, that's a Lacerte answer. But look for something to indicate it is inherited IRA.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

It is also used to compute the taxable amount of an IRA distribution when there is basis in the IRA.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

It states, if this distribution is from an inherited IRA, indicate the distribution is from

the IRA of  >>>Spouse and treat as recipient's own??

this is the only other box in that area
