Hi to all.
CA S-Corp closed on 01/25/2025 and was domesticated in VA on 01/25/2025. The last earned income was in December 2024 for CA. The owner filed Form 8822, and the S-Corp was registered in the state of VA on 01/26/2025.
For CA, 2024 should be considered the final return.
Now I am confused about which address to use on the CA return. I have entered the CA entity number at the top of Form 100-S. Should I use the CA address on the 100-S and leave the VA address for the 1120-S? I tried to changes address on 100-S keep CA address but did not allow me to do it.
Thanks for help
I believe you also need to dissolve the corporation with California.

Client did that, dissolved it in secretary of state of CA, so just let me what address should be on 1120-S and 100-S.
Ok, let's assume, if dissolved happened on 12/31/2024 what address should be on 1120-S and 100-S?
If put CA address no one in there to pick up any letter, if put VA address no problem with IRS, but CA 100-S should have the same I mean VA address.

If so, 100-S on the top does have entity number from CA but address is business address of VA ??!!!
is this ok?
YES.
The date makes no difference. Never use an address that won't receive nasty grams from any agency on a tax return. Use the VA address, or one in HI. Just make sure it will be valid for a few years to get mail about the entity.
Thanks@George4Tacks. Do you think if on 01/29/2025 CA S-Corp terminated , can be this return as final return for CA or next year would be better.
Yes. Review what date it will be due. Review dissolution. Probably paper return on 2024 software with a dark pen to annotate it is 2025.
Sorry I did not get that.
