Why won't proseries 2022 allow a non-resident to e-file a Kansas return?

Did you select Kansas as one of the states to efile on the Federal Information Worksheet?

It only gives the options of New York and California on the federal return when non-resident is checked.

On the federal info worksheet in part VI you can choose any state you want in the dropdown menu (even including Kanas). resident/nonresident is not a factor in part VI.

There are times particular state prohibits e-filing of nonresident returns (like with state withholding on a K-1, PTE tax payments, etc.)  Those pop up as errors within  ProSeries.  These returns must be mailed in.
