WHAT IS THE MINIMUM REQUIRED INFO TO EFILE A 1065 OR 1120-S EXTENSION.
WE USED TO BE ABLE TO CREATE A SKELTAL RETURN AND EFILE THE EXTENSION, SEEMS LIKE THIS YEAR IT WANTS A LOT MORE INFO.

If that is so, then you may want to consider just going into the post office and mailing the extensions via certified mail with return receipt if you can... Just my opinion
The skeleton normally gets you by until it is time to bury the corpse between now and September.
Rest in peace.....
Open the return, mark the Extension EF box on the fed info worksheet, open the 7004 and check the box at the top to Freeze figures, then check the box at the bottom asking about 10 million dollars.
Then Efile the extension.
Lisa,
thanks, but that used to WORK IN THE PAST.
This year that process fails final review and wants more information than that, WAY MORE.
This is my question.....
YES I AGREE, The skeleton always did in the past years.
THIS YEAR IT FAILS FINAL REVIEW DURING E-FILE.
Requires way more info for an extension
let me clarify, on existing, transferred clients, that works fine.
i meant to say on NEW CLIENTS,
i used to be able to create a file, with name, EIN, address, extension checkbox, 7004 freeze checkbox, and the $10M box.
then E-file without issue, this year it fails final review.
thanks
LISA,
FYI
SO THE MINIMUM SKELETAL RECORD FOR NEW CLIENTS IS:
EIN, NAME, ADDRESS, EXTENSION BOX CHECKED, FORM 7004 FREEZE BOX CHECKED,
FORM 7004 $10M BOX CHECKED YES OR NO,
THIS IS NEW FOR 2020. INFORMATION WORKSHEET OFFICER NAME, SSN, TITLE...
THANKS
