I am preparing a MN tax return for a client that received a 1099-G from U.S. Railroad Retirement Board.
MN does not tax these benefits but when I prepare the MN M1 form it doesn't" subtract it.
Any tips?

Put the amount on schedule M1M line 17
We tried entering the amount on M1M 17. It came up an error saying "federal social security worksheet Tier 1 and Federal 1099R worksheet Tier II must be completed. We don't have either one of those forms. We only have 1099R from the railroad.
I would just make sure you have no other errors on return, and when you efile just remove check mark that enables error checking
On the federal 1099R worksheet, do you have the RRB 1099R box checked?
@IRonMaN I think he only has a 1099G, as I believe when he replied to me he put 1099R in error
Sorry, I missed that part of the post and was focused on the rejection info.
After speaking with Intuit Rep, it looks like we have to paper file returns with railroad unemployment benefits. Thanks for all the help.
