Printing forms the software should not print

I reported this software bug back in March 2019. Still no resolution.

When making a pdf of a client copy from ProSeries HomeBase and incorrect return is printing. Forms that were never activated, are not part of the return in anyway are printing.

It is printing a 1040X along with the 1040 when no amendment is being filed. The user never activated the 1040X. The 1040X that is printing always has a 0 on line 8 column C.

It also prints the worksheet "amounts on individual Income Tax Return as E-Filed. Line 1-15 column A has correct data, column B has all 0 and column C has the amounts as intended to file. The tax return today (and all the others-Never been e-filed before printing).

The ECI due diligence also prints, although there was no EIC forms ever activated.

As stated this was reported previously. Still no action on your company?

You are directing your comment/complaint to other users. This is not Support.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

Thank you very much for your answer. However, Intuit directed me to this area to post problems. They have curtailed Tech support so badly, that they apparently want users to do their Tech support for them.

We do a lot of the tech support, but we can't do the programming.

I was told by the telephone tech support that they monitor this and respond. So, this is why it was posted.

The support person either didn't know what they were talking about or just wanted to get rid of you so that they wouldn't be late for the Intuit BBQ.

Weird, I'm not having this issue.

The only form I have that prints when it shouldn't is the Sch D, I have it set to print "If Any Data" but it prints out on ALL returns (even when its completely blank).

You sure you don't have something set incorrectly in Choose Which Forms Print?

If you use Print Preview, do you see the erroneous forms in that list of forms?

Yes, when I reported this on the telephone in March, they said, override the -0-. This only happens when you print frome HomeBase and not with the return open. Never was a 1040X activated. This is a 1040 return. (other times to). It only happens when I print from the HomeBase with the client return not open. Somehow it is putting a 0  in the column 8.

OK, I've never printed directly from Homebase before, maybe that's why I've never had this happen....Im going to go test it now though!

Hmmm, I printed to PDF direct from Homebase and I didn't get any erroneous forms included in the PDF.

Is it only on certain clients or all clients?  Are you using ProSeries Basic or Professional?

I have professional. It has happened everytime I print from homebase with the client file closed.
