Hello. I am using Proseries Basic for almost all of my returns, other than the 1065's which ia using the PPR Professional. Basic is working fine, my issue is I get an errror in the Professional software under the Paid Preparer's info. Error is "Preparer Code does not have a valid 5 digit ERO pin set in paid preparer options." Idk what could be wrong, everything in the Firm/Preparer Info is exactly the same in both software. This is the first year I am using both as I am downsizing and did not need the full Professional software. Any help/insight is greatly appreciated. I am getting frustrated!

I have experienced the same problem for several years. Some days are worse than others. We've never been able to find a common trend on when or why it happens. Have spent several days on the phone with tech support at different times and they can't figure it out either. Did you ever get a response or a solution?
If doing a 1065 in Pro-Series Pro about 1/2 down on the information worksheet there is a "Practitioner Pin Program". You have to enter a 5 digit pin (any five numbers) Also in options ERO info enter any 5 numbers for ERO practitioner Pin. Hope that works for you.
