I have a new computer and am trying to get my ProSeries Professional to work as it should on it. I am having trouble with the behavior of the popup screen after making entries, then attempting to exit the return prior to saving the new data I have entered. If I go to "Save Client" first, then exit, there is no problem. But if I simply exit the return, and the popup asking me if I want to save my data first comes up, it briefly pops in so I can see it, but then quickly reverts into a secondary ProSeries icon at the bottom of my computer screen; then if I click on "Yes" in the popup box, it does not save my newly entered data, and the popup box goes blank except for the remaining "Yes" box which is oblivious from thereon. I do not know whether this problem is within ProSeries itself, or whether it is in the Microsoft Windows 11. I am not adept with the technology to know where to go to figure this out and fix it. Has anyone had this experience before that they might share with me to help me out with this? I need to be working on my tax returns! I could go ahead and make entries, and save them directly instead of trying to use the popup, but I am afraid when it comes time to e-file and pay authorization fees, the popup problem may actually prevent me from doing that.
Please disregard this inquiry. I place a call to the Best Buy Geek Squad and they fixed the problem I had right away. All is well.
Thats a new one for me.
You may want to close PS and run REPAIR UPDATES from the Windows programs menu, maybe something went wonky in last weeks update.
