IMPORTANT: Do not file 2021 PA returns if you have clients that have "joint" capital gains on Schedule D....
PA Schedule D is not flowing from Federal 1099-B worksheet if "Joint" owner of account is selected (i.e. code J). Program is supposed to automatically transfer the capital gains to PA Schedule D for both the Taxpayer and Spouse and split the information evenly between the spouse and taxpayer on PA D TP and PA D SP.
What is really scary is that the capital gains don't show up anywhere on the PA return if you select joint owner on 1099-B worksheet.
ProSeries needs to send an alert out to its customers about this programming glitch. Also, this could be affecting other states.
Obviously, this works fine in the 2020 software, but it does not work in 2021.
