Non-Dependent custodial child care expenses

I have a client who is custodial parent and pays for childcare expenses but doesn't claim the child as a dependent every other year. Can they take child care expenses deduction on the 2441? If so, how in ProSeries?

Yes they can take the child care expenses.  On the federal information worksheet enter the  child's information under Part III.  For EIC enter E for the code and for code choose Q (Not a dependent (but is a qualifying person for the earned income credit and/or  the credit for child and dependent care expenses).
