Last efiling date for 2024 1040?

When is the last date to efile 2024 this year?

This year I believe they are shutting down the 1040s the same time as the business returns so you have until sometime in December.

Thank you Sir.  I had heard a rumor that it was going to be sometime this week.

In previous years, that could have been true, but not this year.

Might be no one in central command to switch the computers off.  Have to wait for gov't to re-open, the morning person usually has the key to open up after stopping for coffee. 

At least that's what I heard.
