In ProSeries Basic - For 2024 Form 8962, how to auto populate lines 12 through 13 (Monthly Calculation).

For 2024 Form 8962 ..The IRS is requesting that lines 12 through 13 (Monthly Calculation) be completed. Currently only the Annual Calculations are completed on Form 8962, via the completion of form 1095-A (where monthly amounts were entered). Is there a way to automatically fill the Monthly Calculations, lines 12 through 13 on Form 8962.

The 8962 is auto populated from input on the 1095-A so start with that..... on the  1095-A there is check box to populate the monthly data

if all the months numbers in the column are exactly the same, it only shows the bottom total figures, if you want all the months to show, adjust one of the amounts up by $1 and another one down by $1 and it will make all the columns fill in on the 8962

Thank you Jim-from-Ohio ..... I like your solution the best. However I cannot find a check box in "ProSeries Basic" Form 1095-A that will force the automatic population on Form 8962's  "Monthly calculations"

When I make one month's amount different on Form 1095-A, it populates the "Monthly calculations" on Form 8962. This is the first time one of my clients have received a Notice from the IRS ...I checked and every year when the monthly amounts were exactly the same, only the "Annual calculations" were filled in on Form 8962 and the "Monthly calculations" were blank.

Hi Just-Lisa-Now ..Thank you for responding

Your solution worked.. However it does change the amount of the refund ..but I can fix that with an Adobe edit (to match the 1095-A exactly and the original results of Form 8962)..I noticed with this adjustment now the Annual Figures are blank ...but that's an easy fill in if need be.

I like Jim-from-Ohio solution the best. However I cannot find a check box in ProSeries Basic Form 1095-A that will force the automatic population on Form 8962's  "Monthly calculations"
