import 2019 pdf into 2020 proseries pro

A new client provided me with a hard copy of 2019 tax return.

I can scan the 2019 federal return to a PDF format.   How to import the PDF into 2020 Proseries Pro

You cant.  ProSeries will not pick up a tax return in PDF format to import as a tax file.

You have 2 choices, use the 2019 program and recreate the clients 2019 return, then transfer it into 2020.  Or begin a new 2020 return and manually input any permanent items and carryovers.
