If CA resident in military stationed overseas all year makes him a CA non-resident. How do I exclude income from CA. On info works, Part XI, is asking for State ID?

If you entered the military as a CA resident you remain a CA resident unless you affirmatively change home of record.

But, CA doesn't tax military pay.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

Thank you.  Then when I enter W2 information, how do I get it excluded from CA taxation

There must be a military pay box to check. I don't use ProSeries so can't be specific.

The more I know, the more I don't know.
