I went back to my Pro Series 2016 to see a return and I am getting a message that won't let me open

The message reads: "The selected directory requires that file names be from one to eight characters in length not including the three character extension that follows the period (For example: FILENAME.XXX)

Is there anything I can do to open this file? Can you help me?

Can you rename the file so it fits the parameters required then try to open?

It is saying that this file name cannot be changed.

If you have them saved on a removeable drive, try moving the file back to the Data16 folder on the harddrive, see if you have better luck.
