How do I fix a file that says it is locked in ProSeries, but it has not been locked, nor it isn't currently open by anyone else on my server.

I am trying to e-file a 2021 amended state return, but when I try to access the return on my computer, it says the file is locked, but it says it is locked by the computer I am currently using, so I should be able to access the file. I tried updating, refreshing updates, etc. Nothing is working, no one has locked the file or has the file open, so if someone could help me figure this out that would be great. I need to file this return before the deadline.

sometimes just a computer reboot will fix this, but heres a couple articles about similar messages

I was able to access the file, but when I try to e-file the return, it won't stop loading, and it says (not responding) in the top corner.

Sounds like you may have something running in the background that's accessing your client data files, maybe a cloud backup (mine does this to my near the end of the day often) or anti virus?
