The 1040ES worksheet allows you to schedule them, but you can only do it along with the return...if the return has already been transmitted you wont be able to do it....the client would need to use the IRS Direct Pay website to set them up no more than 30 days in advance of the due date., or mail a check with an ES voucher.

But I was asking about the Illinois estimated payments.I have scheduled the federal electronic withdrawals, but it appears that Illinois will not allow it other than through their specific state site. They allow electronic withdrawal for tax due, but not for the estimated payments. I just found that out.
I think I saw someone else ask about this last month...if the IL ES worksheet doesnt show it as an option, you may be out of luck.
