I have a situation where the taxpayer moved during 2020 to a different state. They had a home office in both their old home and the new home. I created two Schedules C, one for each state. I attached an 8829 worksheet to each one.
I'm getting a diagnostic: "The checkbox on the home office Interest and Taxes Smart Worksheet may need to be checked on additional copies of Form 8829 and/or the Employee Home Office Worksheet if there is more than one office in the same home. Check this box when appropriate..."
But this isn't the case. The two home offices are in two different homes. How do I get past this diagnostic?

I think it's just informational and you ignore it. Are the right numbers flowing to the right forms?
Yes the numbers are flowing through correctly. The diagnostic has an orange banner with a white X in a red circle that says You Should Fix This Error. I attached it but it's kind of small...
I haven't tried efiling yet. There are no efile diagnostics (or any others).
I sure hope I can ignore it!
