Form 5695 is not calculating and showing a credit on the 1040

I have tried numerous scenarios using this form...and it does not put the energy credit on the 1040....

The credits on Page 2 of the 5695 are expired, so they no longer get counted...is that the type of credit you are entering?  (theres a big informational window at the top of Page 2 that explains it)

Only solar, wind, geothermal and fuel cell credits are available.

This is really frustrating -------------------- you would think Intuit could put up a big informational window at the top of the page so people wouldn't get confused by this. :expressionless::expressionless:

@jetlumac is it a solar, wind, geothermal or fuel cell credit that is giving you the trouble?  Those are the only credits available for 2018.

No...the confusion came from the information being allowed to be entered while preparing the return....

@jetlumac the reason they left it there is it is possible that Congress and the President may pass a bill that will extend them retroactively then they would have to reprogram them.  If you read the first box on the form it says they are not extended.
