Form 1310, to e-file 2020 in ProSeries Professional -- son for deceased dad

I cannot clear the error messages in this situation: dad died in 2020, wife pre-deceased him by many years; son is executor of estate and will claim the refund. I cannot get Form 1310 to allow entries to e-file Federal; OK, can paper file. But cannot get CA state return to e-file either; get error messages related to Federal 1310. 

I have had much frustration with Form 1310 in PS before, I welcome direction how to get this form to work. Thank you.

PS cannot e-file with F1310.

I Efile returns with 1310's all the time.   

It just depends on which boxes you have marked on it, whether Efiling is allowed or not.
