This functionality worked as expected in the 2024 software but does not appear to work in 2025.
In the 2024 version, the “Brokerage Statement (1099-B) Summary Table” included all transactions entered on the worksheet. That table pulled in both:
Line-by-line entries from the Quick Entry Table, and
Transactions summarized in the Form 8949 Reporting Exception Transaction table, allowing us to aggregate proceeds and basis for Code A and Code D transactions.
In the 2025 version, the summarized Code A and Code D transactions are no longer included in the Brokerage Statement Summary Table. This significantly reduces the usefulness of the table as a reconciliation tool against the actual 1099-B.
Was this an intentional change? The 2025 software also appears to introduce an additional summary section on the 1099-B worksheet titled “Form 8949 and Schedule D Totals.” It is possible that this programming change unintentionally altered the behavior of the Brokerage Statement Summary Table.

@FPCwealth We have passed this along to support for review. Thanks!
This was brought up last week or the week before, I haven't heard anything about the status recently though.
@IntuitKatie Im not sure if youre the person to tag or not, Ive just seen you posting recently!
I was on the line with support last Friday, and they were no help at all. Fingers crossed it gets resolved before the big batch of these hit later this month!

Thank you!!!!!!
I was with support for 2 hours today.....trying to resolve this issue. It is Saturday Feb 7. 2026. They do not seem to think there is a problem and told me to enter the summary data in the quick entry table which is wrong for efiling. Please urge Pro Series to fix this issue soon. As the more complex returns start to come in, the reconciliation summary form was always a great tool but is worthless now.
@IntuitKatie its concerning support doesn’t find this to be an issue. It’s going to be impossible to complete our returns without this fix. Please help!
To be clear, the return is still correct right? this is just a convenience thing for the preparer?
Ahhh, ok. Thank you for clarifying!
Thanks for dating your remark. It helps when reviewing to establish a timeline for messages. Hopefully they will get this fixed. I had to revert to an old form I had created myself years ago to record brokerage statements to reconcile the Schedule D. While it did create time to enter twice it helped with the clients that had multiple brokerage statements that came in over time.
Absolutely agree that we need this 1099-B Summary to populate and it is critical to reconciling clients with numerous broker statements.

Obiviously, this is not getting the attention it deserves. Are you ever going to fix it or should I start shopping now for new tax software? I reported this on February 6. It is really necessary and it should not be a hard thing to fix if you any compentency in the programming department at all...Awaiting your reply and prompt resolution to this matter.
Thank you @Snickers2020! I am getting so annoyed.
I pulled out my old spreadsheet as well, but who wants to enter everything twice!
Hi @Snickers2020 and @FPCwealth Thank you for your patience. Our team is still actively looking into this.
Thank you @IntuitKate. It is the end of Feb, so patience is running low.
This should be a very high priority. It is greatly slowing down the review process. We are unable to reconcile proceeds entered on Capital Sales worksheets to individual Form 1099-B. This is a problem when clients have multiple 1099-B forms.
It has been over a month since this problem was reported to Intuit.
This is a huge problem in preparing and reviewing returns. Having to use Excel and other reconciliation methods to review returns is time consuming, frustrating, and unnecessary.
I am tired of the pass the buck responses.
When will this be fixed and why has it taken so long?
I am really questioning the accuracy of the 2025 software. I really don't think you care about your customers either.
INTUIT, GET IT TOGETHER !!!
Hello! We understand how frustrating this has been and we appreciate you bringing this discussion to the Community and sharing the details here. Development has been working to improve the experience and update the program. A release will be coming soon. We will update this post when it has been released.
I hope it is sooner than later. The costs in additional time it takes to enter in the tax program and then repeating the entry onto a spreadsheet in order to reconcile is a tough pill to swallow given it has been 4 weeks since brought to Pro Series attention.
Is this going to be an ongoing issue with Intuit products now? The response seems in align with Intuit's response to the issues with Easyacct. The program is still not working and Intuit has known about this for over a month.
The issue appears to be fixed as of this morning 3/4/2026.
still doesnt reconcile the summary amounts up top, so its still hard to cross match back to the totals on the 1099B.
Make sure the box "Non digital transactions (Form 1099-B) is checked at the top of the sales worksheet. It should flow to the summary table below.
that doesn't seem to make a difference for those covered transactions in the summary boxes (exclusions from the 8949) at the top, only things that flow to the 8949 end up in the summary tables at the bottom.
I was hoping for something that totaled everything up per 1099B, but this is better than it was.
Hello! We wanted to let you know that the improvements for the Summary Table in ProSeries has been released. If you have not installed the update please do so.
