Yesterday's Alert on e-filing extension for federally disaster zones states that extensions payments cannot have a date after 5/17. When you view the article it states "For both paper and electronic submissions, Form 4868 filing and accompanying payments must be submitted by the May 17, 2021 deadline." I understand if Proseries is not allowing extension withdrawals for federally disaster zones after 5/17, but why is it saying you can't paper file. If the return is due 6/15, we should be able to paper file and send an actual check on 6/15. I think we need clarity on what will be available on Proseries after 5/17. Can we e-file all of our extensions 5/17 with and then mail payments 6/15?
