Electronic payment request was rejected on recently filed return

 

notified via Form 9325..anyone aware of a dollar limit on payments?

balance due was 16,000

Lacerte has been getting false messages about payments not being accepted, and Proseries got them last year.   Before panicking, try calling the EFW phone number and inquire as to whether the transaction is actually scheduled or not.

I think the phone number is right on the 9325, but here it is just in case

Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about or cancel your payment, but please wait 7 to 10 days after your return was accepted before calling.

(in my experience, you dont need to wait the full 7-10 days, they have it before that)

 have contacted e file center with IRS...and YES  that message on form 9325

was not accurate...payment is scheduled as originally requested

hope tech support can look into this
