Have TP who took a covid distribution from retirement plan. Return is done except for Form 8915e.
Can I submit a completed IRS Form 8915e as pdf with the return or do I need to wait until the final version is uploaded to ProSeries at the end of the month? Trying to get return filed and I don't want it to reject.
If I can use the IRS form, do I just uncheck "Enable conversion error checking" when e-filing?

"who took a covid distribution from retirement plan"
You need form 5329, as well.
The 1099-R actually has a code 2 vs a 1.
"Who Must File
You must file Form 5329 if any of the following apply.
You received a distribution subject to the tax on early distributions from a qualified retirement plan (other than a Roth IRA) and you meet an exception to the tax on early distributions from the list shown later, but box 7 of your Form 1099-R doesn’t indicate an exception or the exception doesn’t apply to the entire distribution."
Right, TP has a code 2 in box 7 which is early distribution, exception applies
Does anyone know when Proseries will have the 8915-e form available?

Your Program knows, and the internet knows. Form Finder is used for release dates.
