Earned Income Tax Credit

My understanding is that the EITC applies only if the parents (tax payers) have social security numbers.  I know there are income and filing status guidelines as well.  However, a couple of clients with Individual Income Tax Numbers (ITIN) indicate that the most recent legislation passed allows these taxpayers to receive the EITC. I've done some reading and attended a couple of webinars but I don't recall this being a change. I still believe that the tax payers have to have a SSN and not an ITIN. Maybe I missed something.

I agree with you, I don't see anything that has changed in that regard.
