e-filing 1040 returns

I thought the program was updated to accept 7/15/20 payment to IRS but my returns have been rejected when e-filed

There were instructions given on that procedure, and you need to read the info presented when a yellow band pops up when you open the program. The instructions given were that for now the program will now let you put the date past 4/15, but you will still get error message. When you e-file the return you turn off error checking. There will be an update coming to fix that.
