E-file rejection; asking for 1095-A when client has no marketplace insurance

My client has no marketplace insurance.  I checked the box to indicate so on Form 1095-A, but the IRS continues to reject their return, insisting that they should have one.  Remedy?

I have the same issue. I called Proseries twice and they don't know how to fix the rejection. I went to the page that was shown on the rejection for more help notice and it was for Turbo Tax. I then responded the  rep's follow up email to me and asked her if she would do more research on this.

The client should contact the Marketplace to verify that.  If the client is young, they should check if their parents signed your client up for insurance.  If your client has any dependents, your client should verify nobody signed the kid up for insurance (such as an ex).

If all of those end up as no insurance, write up an explanation with that information and convert it to a PDF.  Then attach that PDF as an "other" attachment and call it "ACA Explanation".
