Who wants to be the first one try this for claiming a dependent?

I'll bet $100 on the IRS this time.

I did have a client ask me to claim their dog as a business expense. Was told he was a guard dog for his warehouse. No different than having a security service. First problem, dog was a Chihuahua.

That's about as silly as a tax deduction for tips and overtime. 

Well, maybe not tips, because people have been excluding most of those since income tax was enacted.
