Deductibility of indirect federal payments on state return

Brokerage statement states TP received indirect federal payments.  Are these deductible on state tax return?

what is an indirect federal payment?  do you mean federal tax withheld?

Or do you mean some of the mutual fund dividends are attributable to indirect federal obligations?
