We have a client who took an early retirement withdrawal of $192k in 2020. We are using the Covid election to spread $100k of the distribution out over 3 years. That leaves the $92k plus $33k taxable in 2020. However, when trying to do the CT return (he is a part-year resident), it is only transferring over the 92k to The Sch CT-1040AW in column A, line 8. The only way I can make it work is by overriding the number, and it seems like there has to be a more correct way...I have checked and CT should be using the same AGI as the federal for their calculations.
