I think you mean Social Security recipients. I think you mean Economic Recovery payments. You're tired. Take a nap. Catch up on the news when you feel better.
Go ahead and take that nap and you can sleep well because folks receiving Social Security will get their checks without having to file a tax return.
Then I'm going to round up to 6.58 inches just to be safe.
If there was not filing requirement, submitting a return now is not useful. Wait for IRS to come up with their quicky online filing that will include banking info. Filing now will NOT include the bank info, unless there is a refund.

Thank You so much for answering seriously to a serious question.
I took my CHILL PILL today, so I am being nice (mostly) 👹
@George4Tacks - are you going beyond all of the others and trying for that elusive 6 star rating?
@simplicity - You have been getting free help for years off of this new and improved and the old and not improved forum. You should know by now that there are a number of us that pretty much just give while there are so many others that just take from this place. Our only payment is to have a little fun along with that giving. If you just want completely serious answers, you can always call support.
Support? Answers? Isn't that called an oxymoron?
A little fun? Some of us have lots of fun.
I'm sorry for offending you. I appreciate you and others that have helped me through the years. Did not realize you were not paid. Will try to find resources when needed in other forums. Thank you for your past help. God Bless and stay safe.
But if I have to think before answering, that would hurt my brain too much and it already hurts bad enough from all of those anvils.
Simplicity - Keep asking the questions and we will keep answering, but just remember Cyndi Lauper's words - girls just wanna have fun - and so do coyotes and some of the other mangy critters hanging around here. I'm surprised she left the coyote part out of her song.
How are Dependent Students aged 19 to 23 going to be treated in regards to Economic Recovery Payments?
Dependents age 17 to 23 do not receive a payment and do not qualify their parent(s) for a $500 additional payment.

Seriously, if I want serious answers to serious questions, I will seriously not call Support that is not serious about serious support.
BUT WAIT! IF YOU DIDN'T FIGURE IT OUT IN THE FIRST NANOSECOND, IRS NOW HAS A POSTER FOR YOU TO PUT ON YOUR WALL. BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD IT now!
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/e-poster_payments.pdf
Would love to put that on the wall. Then what about all those shinny badges Intuit sent over with this forum, which are taking up space on the walls?
@itonewbie has shinny badges? Have you been shinnying up a tree without paddle?
