Can programmers add a diagnostic asking the preparer to consider electing to itemize on the Federal return since the benefit on MD return exceeds cost on Federal?
Taxpayer has lots of charitable and real property taxes which taxes are limited on federal. MD allows all real property and charity. We use pro series.
Right now the programmers are scrambling to find out why a gazillion preparers are having their computers shutdown when they print, so I don't think they will be getting to that idea for awhile.
