CA Form 593 withholding

how do I enter CA Form 593 withholding on Federal to be linked to CA 540?

 I enter directly on CA 540 under other withholding, but now it says I have to paper file CA, because I have a withholding other than W2 , Form 593, etc

You enter the state withholding on the Tax Payments worksheet for Federal.    That gets it to Sch A.

Now go over to the CA return and in the list of Forms find the 593, and fill it out, that will put it on the correct line of the 540 and allow for Efiling.  DO NOT enter the withholding on the 593 withholding line of the 540 (doing that makes it unable to be Efiled), you have to complete the 593 and then it will flow automatically.
