Amended Tax Return

When filing an Amended Tax Return, do you have to attach all the schedules that were with the original tax return if there was  no  changes to the schedules, and the only change was to the income?

I only attach the forms and schedules that have changed.

So far I haven't had any amended returns rejected for that reason.

That's exactly what the 1040X instructions say to do.
