Is there a way to auto-file the 1040X with the original data from the 1040 that was also processed in Proseries?

Do you mean auto FILL ?
The original column should auto populate if you prepare the amended in the correct order.
Open the originally filed return (dont make any changes yet), go to Forms and choose 1040X.
Mark the Year box at the top of the form.
If a state is involved, do the same for the state, open the state amended form and fill in the right year at the top.
Now go back to the federal and make the changes that youre amending for. Once youve done that, both the original and corrected columns will auto-fill on the 1040X.
Nope - the IRS doesn't have the capabilities to do that yet.
