Oh, the pet peeves!

Clients emailing me to confirm their extensions were filed, as they or I indicated were necessary over the past month.  Of course I did...sort of!!  This being my traditional CYA day (no office clients), filing 44 of the 59 promised.  May be a small 'slow me down on April 15' surcharge next year.  Need the afternoon to make sure my client status column doesn't say 'oops!'

Add to that, my 'are you serious!' reply, politely paraphrased, to a client's son who wanted to stop by the office Wednesday to discuss strategy on his student loans.  Huh?

I have my bottle of Southern Comfort open now and will be deducting that for awhile.

Guess I've mellowed over the years.  From my HRB life years ago, a few of us would crank em out til 2am w/ Jack Daniels.  Sole practice now but I keep the tradition of buffalo fingers and mozzarella sticks!

Southern Comfort?  Doesn’t Fireball sponsor this place?

Southern Comfort. That is a swear word. Only fire ball will do.

Just taking a moment to talk business in between Fireball discussions.  That client status column kind of sucked today.  A fair number of clients, that I knew were transmitted, weren’t indicating that.  So for my peace of mind, I had to waste time opening those clients to indicate their correct status.

FIRST time I ever got drunk was on Southern Comfort & Coke. I was 20. I still remember the next day. Well, I remember some of it.

At 20?  That was a WHOLE 5 YEARS AGO.
